Hyun Joong Was Returned Back

Hyun Joong, who was hospitalized in Japan after being infected with swine flu returned home to Korea in the pink of health. Hyun Joong arrived in Seoul together with his manager at 2.25 p.m. on the 16th, wearing a black hat and a face mask. Upon arrival, he greeted the hoardes of reporters waiting for him and said "Thank you very much for all your concern, I will return to our album activities in the best of health". DSP has stated that Hyun Joong will be undergoing another medical checkup in Korea and that activities for their new album are currently being planned out.

Hyun Joong Down With Swine Flu

Hyun Joong was diagnosed with swine flu when he was in Japan for promotional activities for KPN. He had displayed signs of fever and flu while he was promoting KPN on the 5th and 6th, causing him to miss his activities on the 6th. He was about to get on a flight on the 7th when he was rushed to the emergency unit due symptoms of high fever. He has been treated with the Tamiflu, and his management has stated that they are keeping a close watch on his health condition. Hyun Joong is reportedly the first Korean artiste to be diagnosed with swine flu.

Hyun Joong Filmed a Tony Moly CF

Hyun Joong filmed a Tony Moly CF in a studio in Kangnam, showing the public and his fans that he is healthy after the bout of swine flu that he suffered last month. His representatives have also assured the public that Hyun Joong has been getting the much needed rest he deserves, stating that his schedules have been adjusted and that he is taking on activites and schedules slowly, including the work being done for their album. Despite being tired out due to the filming which was carried out till late at night, Hyun Joong still appeared light hearted, lifting the spirits of everyone during the filming. Hyun Joong, who models for the widely accepted brand Tony Moly by the Japanese, hopes to show his fans in Japan his healthy look through the broadcasting of this CF. Hyun Joong has been mainly resting since he was diagnosed with swine flu last month, and has only just returned to his working schedules. He will still be performing the SS501 Asia Tour with the rest of the SS boys, which is next scheduled for Taiwan on the 17th.

SS501 revealed the cover of their latest mini-album 'Rebirth' which is scheduled for release on the 20th. The photo emphasized on a sultry, smokey makeup getup, which highlighted their sexy and charismatic appearances.

This is the first time in one year and seven months that the boys were releasing an album in which they all participated in together in. The album that they released last June contains solo works of all the boys.

The release of a special album which includes a 100 page flip-book format diary and photobook, as well as posters will be on the 20th, whereas the normal version of the album will be released on the 22nd.

Hyun Joong Read Adult Manga

Hyun Joong recently revealed that he reads adult manga. Hyun Joong, who was featured on a recent recording of Family Outing informed the MC that he has been reading interesting mangas lately. Upon hearing that MC Yoo asked him what manga has he read lately, to which he answered adult manga. His response caused MC Yoo to be flustered, and Hyori also laughingly mentioned that MC Yoo also favored those type of mangas. Both Hyun Joong and MC Yoo appeared bashful at that statement. Hyun Joong then went on to further explain that it was mangas like 'War of Money' that made him feel that he had begun reading mangas for adults, hence adult manga. His explanation cleared up the misunderstanding that both Hyori and MC Yoo had about the term adult manga.

Take Up The Model Challenge With Hyun Joong

Hotsun Chicken will be organizing an event whereby members of the public will have the opportunity to become a model alongside spokesperson Hyun Joong. This event will run from the 22nd till the 30 of November, and will be open for participation to everyone. Successful applicants will be notified and there are a total of three prizes available for three lucky applicants, placed at 2 million won, 1 million won, and 500,000 won. They will also model for Hotsun Chicken over a two year period, as well as film ads with Hyun Joong.

SS501 debuted in 2005 with their first single "Warning", with a second single "Snow Prince" released in late 2005. The group was inactive in Korea for most of 2006, although they had a fan meeting in Japan in April. The hiatus was due to Heo Young Saeng's throat condition which required surgery, thus resulting in a need for time to fully recover. In mid-2006, they held their first concert, "Step Up Concert" in Osaka, Japan. In late 2006, they returned to Korea in order to promote their first full album, which was released on November 10. Singles from the album included "Unlock" and "Four Chance". As well as promoting the album on various variety and music shows, they also filmed a show on MNet called SOS. On their 600th day (January 28, 2007), they won the Mutizen award from SBS Inki Gayo for their song "Four Chance".

Later in 2007, the group debuted in the Japanese market. A Japanese fanclub has been established with the name of "Triple S Japan"; it officially debuted on March 25, 2007, when SS501 will had first official meeting with the group. In Korea, their fan club members number around 41,700[citation needed]. The group had a Japanese single "Kokoro", which had multiple versions, including one with all members and five others featuring the members individually. The single debuted at #5 on the Oricon chart.[citation needed] A full album was released later in the year.

In 2008, SS501 returned to Korea with their single Deja Vu released on March 8, 2008. The title track was the first song to be promoted, and they started their comeback on music channel M.Net's M Countdown. After success with their single "Deja Vu", they began to promote their second single, "A Song Calling For You". They performed their Goodbye Stage on Music Bank on June 6th, 2008, to return to Japanese activities.

SS501 member Kim Hyun Joong was cast as the F4 member Hanazawa Rui in the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango, also known as Boys Before Flowers, which is scheduled to be broadcast via KBS 2TV in the first half of 2009 with a total of 25 episodes. According to an official from Group Eight, the production house in charge of the drama, Kim Hyun Joong was selected to play Rui, Ji Hoo (Korean ver.), because he was deemed suited for the character. The decision was based on his performance in the MBC program “We Got Married” where Kim Hyun Joong is being coupled with singer Hwangbo.

On October 2, 2008, an official announcement confirmed Hyun Joong as part of the cast for Boys Before Flowers.

Due to two of the members' busy schedules, Jungmin performing in a musical "Grease" and Hyun Joong filming a drama, SS501's album, originally due for release in late 2008, was to be pushed back to July 2009. Instead, a subgroup SS501 was formed. They initially wanted to use Triple S as their group name but gave up the idea because they think that they are 5 members always as 1 no matter what, so they continued to release a special project album U R Man (released on November 25, 2008) under the name of SS501. Finishing their promotional activities for 'U R Man', they are currently promoting 'Because I am stupid', a song they sang for the OST of 'Boys Before Flowers'. This song is very well-received due to the success of the drama.

The original group, with all five members, is scheduled for a comeback in August 2009. They will have their Asia Tour in Jan'10 including countries like Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, etc.

They will release their 2nd Japanese album in May 2009 titled "All My Love".

Duta Besar Republik Korea untuk Indonesia, Kim Ho-young membuka “Pekan budaya Korea” (Korean Cultural Week) yang akan diselenggarakan pada tanggal 9-18 Oktober 2009, di Jakarta, Jumat. Pekan kebudayaan tersebut akan menampilkan berbagai macam acara budaya untuk memperkenalkan kebudayaan Korea dan untuk meningkatkan hubungan kedua negara. Selama diselenggarakannya ajang tersebut, Kedutaan Besar Republik Korea akan menampilkan budaya dan seni asli Korea yang telah dikembangkan dalam 5.000 tahun.

Pada sela kata sambutan nya, Duta Besar Korea untuk Indonesia ini, juga mengatakan akan mengusahakan membuka ‘Korea Culture Centre’ di Jakarta, dan akan mendatangkan artis Korea ke Indonesia untuk memperkenalkan budaya Korea ke masyarakat Indonesia.

ARAshi's Cool

Arashi (嵐, literally Storm) is a Japanese boy band consisting of Satoshi Ohno, Sho Sakurai, Masaki Aiba, Kazunari Ninomiya and Jun Matsumoto under the Japanese talent agency Johnny & Associates. The group was officially announced on September 15, 1999 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Arashi covers a wide range of music, including R&B, hip hop and various forms of pop music. Aside from being a popular idol group in Japan, the group is known across Asia and to J-pop fans all over the world.

After releasing one studio album, one greatest hits album, and six singles under the Pony Canyon label, the group moved to the Johnny's subsidiary label, J Storm in 2002, initially set up for their succeeding releases. Most of the group's album and single releases have debuted at the top of the Japanese Oricon charts. Nine years after their debut they took the top two placings on the 2008 annual sales ranking, attesting to the group's longevity in the Japanese music scene in spite of their idol group image.

2009: 10th anniversary

The group released two double A-side singles "Believe / Kumorinochi, Kaisei" and "Ashita no Kioku/Crazy Moon: Kimi wa Muteki" on March 4 and May 27 respectively in 2009. Both singles sold over 500,000 copies in first week sales, making Arashi the first artist to have two consecutive singles exceed the 500,000 mark within a week in seven years seven months since Keisuke Kuwata. Their live DVD Arashi Around Asia 2008 in Tokyo, released on March 25, topped the comprehensive DVD sales rankings for three consecutive weeks on the Oricon charts, making them the first artist to do so since the rankings started in April 1999.^[26] Prior to this, other artists such as Mr. Children, Hikaru Utada and Ayumi Hamasaki could only top the charts for two consecutive weeks. By the end of the first half of 2009, the group had taken over the top spot in both the singles and DVD categories. The last time an artist simultaneously topped two categories was Hikaru Utada in 2001. Furthermore, Arashi was the first artist to dominate the top two spots in the singles category for the first half of the year since Hikaru Genji in 1988.^[29] Arashi Around Asia 2008 in Tokyo also became the first music DVD in Oricon history to be number one for a first half of the year ranking.

At the end of June, Arashi announced their tenth anniversary tour, which included three consecutive shows at the National Stadium in Tokyo once again. They became the first artist ever to play at the stadium for three days straight. Their third single of the year, "Everything", was released on July 1, 2009. With the single selling over 342,000 copies in the first week, Arashi has the three best first-week single sales of 2009 at this point in time. By the end of July, another major announcement was made. The group's game show VS Arashi would move from its half-hour Saturday afternoon time slot to an hour-long Thursday night time slot at 7:00 JST from October 22, 2009 onwards, making it Arashi's first show to air during Golden Time.

They released their greatest hits album All the Best! 1999-2009 on August 19, 2009, featuring most of their singles since debut, a new song with lyrics written by the members themselves and a limited edition third disc containing ten of the group's selections. Thirteen days after the release, the album broke the one million mark, a first in Arashi's history. It became the first album of 2009 to break one million.
